Aspen, Colorado Mountain Skiing Elopement
Mary and Joe are both Colorado natives with a strong love for the mountains, adventure, and the outdoors. They met over the summer several years ago in Aspen, fell in love there, and ultimately felt it was the most meaningful place for them to elope. They knew they wanted something small and intimate, with only their immediate family and closest friends. Their focus was on having fun, being around their loved ones, and saying their vows on the top of a mountain with breathtaking views. Mary told me she had always envisioned having her wedding during the winter, and it just made sense to incorporate one of their absolute favorite activities - skiing!
This was by far, the most fun I’ve ever had capturing a wedding day! These two were so laid back and were open to however the day was going to unfold. When we got to the top of the mountain, it was nothing but bright blue skies and sunshine! The temperature was incredible and there was barely any wind. It truly was the most perfect morning for a winter elopement in the mountains.
Immediately after their ceremony, Mary and Joe took their first run as a married couple with their bridal parties. Their families and some more friends were waiting for them once they got off the ski lift to begin the celebrating! They all gathered outside on the deck at the ski top restaurant and drank mimosas, shared so many laughs, and made even more great memories. It was such an amazing morning.
