Late Fall Couples Session with Dog in Madison, Wisconsin

When Alexis and Julian reached out for a couples session, they had one adorable request—could their new puppy, Benny, join in? Of course, I said yes! We met at a local park in Madison, Wisconsin, on a chilly, overcast, and rainy day in mid November. Luckily, the rain eased up—and even gave way to a brief glimpse of sunshine! Despite the weather, we captured plenty of beautiful shots before heading back to our warm cars.

Benny, a playful and fluffy Bernadoodle mix, was the perfect addition to their session, bringing extra joy and energy to every moment. Alexis picked out the cutest coordinating outfits for her and her boys - including two adorable bandanas for Benny! He stole the show more than once, with his floppy ears and wagging tail making their way into every frame. Watching Alexis and Julian dote on their new pup was heartwarming, and capturing the beginning of their journey as a family of three was such a privilege.

If you’re thinking of including your pet in your next photo session, do it! They’re just as much a part of your story, and those candid, joyful moments with them are ones you’ll cherish forever.
